Mustaq Ali is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of Air Canada’s payment fraud program, including strategy, operations, and cross-functional governance. Working in conjunction with the principal owner of Air Canada’s Loyalty Fraud portfolio and embedded within Air Canada’s IT Cyber organization has enabled the airline to take a holistic approach to digital risk—accelerating the identification and mitigation of threats such as account takeovers, bot attacks, and synthetic identities. With 27 years of industry experience spanning oversight roles at United Airlines and Air Canada, he brings a rare, end-to-end perspective on operational risk across the aviation ecosystem. This depth of exposure has cultivated a sharp ability to identify systemic vulnerabilities and fraud risks embedded throughout the airline product lifecycle—from pre-departure to post-flight customer engagement and financial reconciliation.
